You Were Wrong

You’ll be a terrible mother, you said
You’ll never be wanted by anyone, you said
You’ll be another pathetic divorced wife, you said
You’ll never be a real writer, you said
You’ll amount to nothing, you said
You’ll be sorry when I leave you, you said
You’ll never be good enough, you said
You’ll always be crazy, you said
You’ll never be happy, you said
Guess what…you were wrong

I love proving people wrong. They say the best revenge is success. 🙂

Thank you, I’m experimenting with audio poetry. I also changed the title of the blog, just experimenting a little and trying to keep creating. 🙂

Hey Sonya, that was awesome…simply awesome! You never know how strong you are until strong is the only choice you have.

I was in a terribly controlling 1st marriage. Luckily we didn’t have kids together. Although time has past, and I’m remarried. I still find myself needing to exercise those horrible voices through writing. Unfortunately, I have a very vivid memory that seems to remember all those bad moments. Like you said, when it all goes down, being strong is the only option you have. Writing seems to help me work through my emotions. I find it therapeutic.

I’m struggling with similar negative thoughts. Love this so much though. We’re a lot stronger than we think, you know? Xoxo

Yes, we are definitely stronger than we think. It just takes time for us to dig up the courage that we know is within us. We need to ignore the voices inside either those from the past and what people have told us along the way or these thoughts are our own nay sayer trying to sabotage our success. Thanks for commenting and reading. 🙂
