We All Become Manic After The New Year!

The New Year brings out the manic in all of us; at least I can speak for myself, anyway. It’s not like I’m not already prone to a little OCD…well, I’m actually more than a little OCD.

Every year we get a chance to kick ourselves in the ass and broadcast to our friends and loved ones all the things we have on our to-do list during the coming year. One of my manic goals is that I plan on posting a blog every day, which isn’t such a bad thing except here’s the catch. I have 3 blogs. Yeah, another indicator I tend to over-do. But, hey, I enjoy pushing myself!

Here’s my take on pushing ourselves. If we don’t, who will? You can always hire my little sister Linda, who’s a professional body builder and ass kicker. No joke. She’s, let’s just say, intimidating. She’s also a big time exercise freak and a personal trainer.

You can spend a chunk of change hiring a life coach. And when I say a chunk…we’re not talking about little cash. Life coaches are expensive. Ever attended a Tony Robbins seminar? Me neither. Wanna know why? Whelp, because it’s too fucking expensive, pardon my French (did the word fuck really originate from France?)

Anyway, I’ve been posting daily to my parenting blog (newagingparents.com). But, my other manic goal is to also post a 1-minute video that goes along with the article, every single day for an entire year.

That’s 365 videos, just in case you can’t count.

Yep, I might fail, but I’m going to try, and so far I’m doing pretty good. It does help that I’ve got my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in film. So, I guess I should know how to crank out videos. My hope is that I don’t get too burnt out in the process and that I can enjoy the ride.

As far my blog tvshowjunky.com is concerned, I’ll try to post at least 1 per week. Hey, cut me a little slack it’s harder writing decent movie and TV show reviews.

For this blog, I’m going to try and write at least 3 blogs a week.

The Bottom Line

My manic blog schedule will still likely entail 11 blogs a week. Not to mention, I’d like to get started on plotting out my next novel. Oh…and I guess I should hit the gym. But, no, I’m not planning on running a marathon. The only marathon I’m interested in is the marathon of blog postings.

Wish me luck. Do you have manic goals this year? Well, then, I wish you luck, too!
