As the Internet began to advance, the information age exploded. We can look up, research, dig, snoop, and pluck out anything we need because of the Internet.
Confessions of an E-Mail Hoarder
I dumped most of my earthly possessions when I decided to take the plunge and move across the United States. I drove 2,763 miles in about 5 days, making the solo road trip from upstate New York to California quite an adventure. As much as I hold very little emotional attachment to possessions, I was shocked recently when I looked on my phone and realized I had stockpiled more than 23,000 undeleted e-mails between my AOL account and Gmail accounts.
Tattoo Therapy
The art of tattooing has come a long way, evolving in how it defines individuals with regards to societal status and growing out of the taboo phase. According to the Smithsonian magazine, it holds ancient and mysterious history that can be tracked as far back as 4000-3500 B.C. One famous 5200-year-old Iceman mummy has more than 50 tattoos. It is said that the tattoos were used for therapeutic measures, rather than symbols. Approximately 85% of the Iceman tattoo’s coincide with acupuncture points. But the exact reason for the tattoos depends a lot upon the culture and the time.
