Rectum? Damn Near Killed ‘Em
Exhausted doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel today. Staying perky definitely helps if you have had a good night’s rest.
As I’ve written before, I don’t have kids, although I would love to someday. I do have two dogs, and while I am not a parent yet, dogs can be almost as much work as a little human.
Take Your Own Advice
Ever asked for advice? Ever turn to more than one person and wind up more confused? If you are getting your car fixed, it’s necessary to go on Yelp and get a second opinion. If you are going out to eat, it’s great to ask friends and neighbors, or you can try Googling it. But, when it comes to your life you need to be careful who you ask.
The Power of Forgiveness
One of the most difficult things I have ever had to face is my own past and those that have hurt me. Like most of us, I do my best to bravely march onward and to not look backward. Who says to themselves: I can’t wait to think about my mistakes again today? Sometimes, the healing process requires deep reflection, the kind that demands total honesty not just to others but to yourself.
K.I.S.S. Your Way to Less Stress
Ever feel like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day? Whether you have children or just animals, are single or happily partnered-up with someone, there are some days that feel like an endless hamster wheel. There are other movies that demonstrate the dreaded rat-race of life. Joe Versus the Volcano was one of them with beloved Tom Hanks who was fighting his way through the mundane.
Embrace Your Uniqueness
I love it when I unexpectedly learn something about myself that I never would have known if not for close friendships and loved ones. It’s simple when we are by ourselves and stuck in our routine. We go to work then head to the gym after, and if we’re smart enough to have DVR’d our favorite show, we sit back to enjoy it before having to head to bed to do it all over again the very next day. There is no drama, misunderstandings, or invaluable life lessons.
