The U.S. Does Not Have a Monopoly on Crazy People: What We Can Learn From the 5 Happiest Countries
The U.S. may not have a monopoly on all the crazy people in the world, but as a country we’re definitely not the happiest. According to U.S.A. Today the U.S. didn’t even come close, as researchers found that the United States ranked 17th out of 34 countries. Sounds similar to our educational test scores. Read the rest of this entry »

Reynolds Oregon High School Shooting, Another Senseless Shooting
Video Posted on Updated on
Another senseless crime, it is unthinkable what would lead someone to do this. Just a few days ago on June 5th there was the Seattle Pacific University shooting. Then yesterday a radical anti-government married couple went on a shooting spree in Las Vegas, killing two police officers and an innocent bystander. Read the rest of this entry »

Social Media Sites: The Good and the Unfriendly
If you’re not on social networking sites these days, you’re living in the 20th century or more or less. It might as well be the Stone Age if your profession relies on any form of content marketing. The sun is setting on the day of simply buying print newspapers ads or high-priced radio or television spots. Why pay tens if not pay hundreds of thousands of dollars when you can virally market yourself for next to nothing? It’s really a no-brainer. Save money or spend money. Spend money and get some views or virally market yourself and potentially get thousands upon thousands of eyeballs on your content. No one says, “I can’t wait to waste money on ineffective, expensive advertisement.” Read the rest of this entry »

Our Thoughts Are With The Victims Of The Seattle Pacific University Shooting
I have but few words….except to say that the escalating violence amongst the youth is frightening. And who is to blame? The mother, the father, the media, the environment, or circumstances? At some point regardless of where we come from and if we were: bullied, beaten, battered, abused and lived in poverty or lack, nothing excuses taking innocent lives.
Everyone wants to figure out the motive and honestly, there is a part of me that does too. Why do people go postal? What makes someone just “snap?” I don’t know. I do not care what you’ve gone through as a human being, there is no excuse for murder.

Take a Vacay From Technology #4TechJunkies
Most of us are coming back from Memorial Day weekend, dragging our feet back in to work. Or maybe you’re the lucky one who was able to take an extra day or two so that you can really catch up on some rest and relaxation.
But how much of a vacation was it, really? Are you guilty of checking your smart phone for text messages and new emails while also taking a peek at any outlandish social media updates? Regardless of your ethnicity, gender, career or chosen profession most people in today’s 21st century technology-obsessed culture cannot live without their techy-vice. For most of us, our smart phone is our drug of choice. We’re addicted to our smart phones that do for us what we seemingly can no longer maintain for ourselves. Our smart phones bring us order, help us conduct research, provide ideas on where to eat, give directions when we’re lost, and connect us to the entire world with a click of a social media app. Read the rest of this entry »
