The Condition of Unconditional Love
More times than not we place conditions on everything. This is especially true when it comes to love. I am not necessarily speaking of romantic love but the kind that you give to yourself. But, many of us continue to place conditions on ourselves as we do others.
There’s a quota we must all meet, and if this minimum is not satisfied, then we put up barriers and our love is constrained. Disappointment can equally set in and devastate our motivation when we haven’t lived up to our own expectations. FYI – beating up on yourself or others, whether physically or verbally, is not love. Inspiration and a daily reminder to myself, in all areas of my life. I always have to remember that the world does NOT revolve around me. I can only control my own reactions, thoughts, and life. Period.
